#microchallenge16: Walk a kilometre in a perfectly straight line
Partner prize: A pair of feet-comforting Bridgedale Midweight Merino Performance Fit socks.

Winner (featured): Kate Brookson-Morris found the perfect place to complete this challenge: the 1100m Karangahake Gorge Rail Tunnel.

Jan Baker found a stretch of the Motueka Valley Highway to walk her straight-as-an-arrow 1km. “I was glad there wasn’t too much traffic!”

Chris Young found a perfectly straight 1km on Leeston and Lake Road in Selwyn District.

#microchallenge17: Take a photo of a dog that does not belong to you
Partner prize:

Winner: While staying at Waitutu Lodge in Fiordland National Park, Anne McDermott met Jess, the caretaker’s dog.

Sandra Galvao met “heaps” of dogs on a walk in Halswell Quarry.

Anna Ferrier and her daughter Lila didn’t find the owner of this very excited dog, which was wandering on their neighbourhood walk.
